PECULIARITIES OF THE CURRENT SITUATION ON THE PHARMACEUTICAL LABOUR MARKET

Andrey Anuchin, the General Manager of an agency PHARMA PERSONNEL outlined the peculiarities of the current situation on the pharmaceutical labour market by presenting the latest research results.
Let’s consider the quantity and structure of Sales Force in Ukraine. For example, the army of medical representatives working in Ukraine stands at just under 10 K people. This includes own employees of pharmaceutical companies (almost 7.5 K people) as well as medical representatives working on outsourcing for execution of a project and the field service of distribution companies (more than 2 K people).
Who forms the field service? These are Key Account Managers (KAM), regional managers, medical representatives. On average, 68 employees work in the field service of a single pharm company. At that, medical representatives make about 80% of the field service team.
The largest consecration of medical representatives is in Kiev and Kiev oblast (17%). Large numbers of field staff is recorded in Dnepropetrovsk (10,9%), Kharkov (9,4%), Lvov (7,1%) and Odessa (6,4%) oblast’s. 2,6 and 1,1% of medical representatives work respectively in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (on Ukraine-controlled territory). Regional managers are mainly concentrated in large oblasts and large cities - almost 70% of them work in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov, Kharkov and Odessa oblasts.
The largest number of medical representatives works with the medicines of group N «Drugs acting on nervous system" (17.3%), group A "Drugs acting on the gastrointestinal system and metabolism" (16.4%) and group C "Drugs acting on cardiovascular system "(15.1%).
