Energy-efficient solutions, sustainable logistics, and responsible consumption initiatives
BaDM ECO is a comprehensive sustainability framework built on the principles of sustainable development and a long-term commitment to reducing the Company’s carbon footprint.
Energy independence has become a critical component of business continuity, particularly in times of war. It enables the Company to maintain stable operations during energy crises caused by hostile attacks and other external challenges. Since 2014, BaDM has been actively modernizing its autonomous energy supply infrastructure to strengthen its operational resilience.
BaDM continues to implement innovative energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions aimed at preserving natural resources and promoting their sustainable use.
BaDM ECO is implemented in accordance with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) approach — an internationally recognized framework for evaluating and developing responsible business practices that has gained global prominence through the United Nations Sustainable Development initiatives. The ESG framework encompasses the environmental, social, and corporate governance aspects of a company’s operations.
The Company’s activities under BaDM ECO cover all key ESG pillars:
The Company continuously modernizes its warehousing and logistics infrastructure to improve energy efficiency and operational resilience.
Solar panels have been installed at the Company’s structural subdivisions, providing partial energy autonomy and facilitating the use of renewable energy sources in day-to-day operations.
Solar power generation is integrated into BaDM’s overall energy management system, contributing to reduced consumption of traditional energy resources and ensuring the stability of the Company’s infrastructure, even under challenging conditions. This enables BaDM to reliably supply pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions with essential medicinal products without interruption.
BaDM is continuously enhancing its logistics and warehousing infrastructure to increase sustainability and energy efficiency. As part of this strategy, the Company’s sustainable logistics initiatives are focused on reducing its carbon footprint by optimizing delivery routes, minimizing unnecessary vehicle mileage, and implementing environmentally responsible transportation solutions.
The use of electric vehicles in logistics operations is being progressively expanded across the Company’s structural subdivisions. This approach reduces dependence on conventional fuels and lowers CO₂ emissions, contributing to a more energy-efficient and sustainable delivery model.
Since April 2026, special BaDM ECO collection boxes have been installed at all structural subdivisions and the Company’s headquarters. As part of this initiative, employees can conveniently dispose of used batteries through the Company’s dedicated collection system.
Collected batteries are transferred for recycling through certified partners operating in accordance with international environmental standards. In Ukraine, battery collection and transportation are carried out by Butterfly, while the recycling process is performed by BUTECO in Poland.
